Life can be exhausting. With hectic schedules and obligations, making time for the gym can be hard. Really hard. Sometimes just showing up is difficult, am I right?

We’re here to tell you that there’s an easy way to get excited and stay motivated when you’re working out at our Oklahoma and Arkansas gyms. Trust us on this; rewarding yourself after hitting the gym may sound overly simple, but it can make all the difference when you’re trying to be consistent and successful.

Gone are the days when exhausting yourself was the only way to get into shape. Sure, you’re still going to sweat and challenge your muscles, but recognizing your hard work with a reward afterward is just as important!

It’s not just a pat on the back, either. A self-reward is a reminder that you’re doing something good for yourself, that you’re capable of achieving your goals, and that you deserve self-recognition.

Rewards Help You Avoid Burnout

Whether you’re pushing yourself toward a goal or struggling just to make it to the gym, a reward gives you something to look forward to. Consider it an incentive for working so hard. You’ve earned it!

Think about it.

When you know there’s a reward waiting, isn’t easier to power through? Rewards provide a tangible and satisfying way to recognize your own hard work and increase feelings of satisfaction and self-motivation.

Whether it’s a post-workout smoothie, time in a hydromassage chair in our Recovery Zone, new workout apparel, or a power nap when you get home, rewarding yourself can make a huge difference in how you feel about your progress — and motivate you to keep going.

Be creative and find what makes you happy. Rewards are not just a “nice-to-have”, but a key ingredient for staying on track and achieving success.
