Winter Glow Up Guide

Fun Ways to Stay Active This December

Winter glow ups are not just about skincare and iced lattes. December is the perfect time to stay active in ways that feel fun, low pressure, and totally doable. No rigid plans. No boring routines. Just activity that fits your vibe.

Start by thinking less “workout” and more “activity.” This could be a Zumba class at 10GYM, a quick gym session with your favorite playlist, or even hopping on the treadmill while scrolling your phone. If it gets you moving, it counts!

Next, switch up how you normally train. If you always lift, try a class. If you usually do cardio, add in a quick strength circuit. New formats keep your brain engaged and help you avoid that mid December motivation drop. Bonus points if you try something slightly outside your comfort zone!

Make it aesthetic. New playlist. Cute workout fit. Different time of day. Changing the vibe makes showing up feel way less repetitive and way more exciting. Sometimes the smallest switch is all it takes to stay consistent.

Another underrated move is micro workouts. Ten minutes between plans. Fifteen minutes before dinner. A quick stretch before bed. You don’t need a full hour to make progress. Stacking small moments of movement keeps you active without burning out.

And yes, rest still matters. December is busy, and pushing nonstop is not the goal. Listen to your body. Relax in our Recovery Zone. Take rest days when you need them. Showing up when you can is better than forcing it when you are exhausted.

By the time January rolls around, you’ll not feel behind. You’ll still feel in rhythm. Already moving. Already confident. That is the real winter glow up.

So keep it fun this month. Stay flexible. Find workouts you actually enjoy. And if you need a place to switch things up, our gyms in OK & AR are here to help you stay active all December. There’s a 10GYM near you!

Before you start an exercise program or make changes to your nutrition, it’s important to consult with your doctor. When it comes to training, your doctor is the best person to help you determine the safest and healthiest approach, especially if you have chronic or recurring health concerns.
